Red Carpet Inn Norwalk

We got to the room at 4:05 and checked out at 4:06, then chose the three-hour drive home. It smelled horribly of dirty bleach, if that makes sense. The shower was wet and full of hair, the bathroom light and fan were broken, with black mold inside, and there was visible trash everywhere. I'm pretty sure there was blood on the wall, and the people upstairs looked like they wanted to hurt me. Holy hell.

I've stayed four times and will keep coming back when I travel to CT. The staff are friendly and work with what we need, and the location is great. It's affordable and comfortable. A luxury motel? No. But for me, it's an A+.

I needed a place for one night to see a concert at Hartford Amphitheater, and this worked for that. Parking was plentiful, check-in was easy, WiFi seemed fine, and the bathroom was bright and clean. The rooms were reasonably clean too. The bed was hard, and the in-room phone didn't work, though everyone has a mobile these days. It's no luxury hotel, but it served my needs.

I came in late after a 15-hour shift with my work van. An older man with a walkie-talkie, who I assumed was management, asked if I was staying and said I had to park at the very back. There were three open spots right in front of the room, and when I asked why, he said there was no reason but I still had to move. The van fit in one space. Given the area, I didn't want to walk $50,000 worth of equipment around the building. The place felt a little sketchy.
