The room and bathrooms were clean enough, but sleeping was rough. People were slamming doors and screaming and yelling right outside the window. I’m usually pretty laid back, but this was brutal. For the sake of your sanity, staying somewhere else would be ideal.

The neighborhood is lively, so light sleepers may want to look elsewhere. The dorm room had a comfortable bed, a small desk, and a TCL/Roku TV. There were cooking facilities, coin-operated laundry, and a shared bathroom.

If you want a clean private room and don’t need much in the way of amenities, this place will do. Room 301 was clean, and the location was decent. The communal bathrooms were hit or miss, as you’d expect. Noise didn’t bother me. On my last day I chose to shower at the admirals club instead of the hostel. The kitchen smelled a little, though I didn’t spend any time there. Across the street there’s a good place to eat and get a drink. Like any hostel, travel light and remember your essentials.

Getting to the nearest station meant a 20-minute walk, which wasn’t ideal. The shared bathrooms for four rooms were pretty gross, with hair all over the place. My room itself was nothing special, though the sheets were clean and the bed was semi-comfortable, with a couple of nice lumps. I also didn’t like the moldy AC blowing right at my face all night. It made it hard to sleep.

The walk from Broadway T station is easy, with lots of good coffee shops and restaurants along the way. We had a clean room and bathroom on the second floor at the front of the building, with a fun view. The downside was Friday night noise from the bar across the street, with music and people shouting from 11 PM to 2 AM. I ended up blasting a box fan video on YouTube right by my ear to cover it up. A window AC unit might help block some of that noise. I’d stay again and do recommend the place, as long as you’re prepared for the late night scene.
