The Verb Hotel

The breakfast was pretty standard hotel fare, nothing special but perfectly fine. We got a great rate on a random Thursday in February, though prices are much higher when the Sox are playing. The location is very handy, right across from Fenway, and my wife and daughter loved the heated pool. Staff were really friendly, and the laid-back place didn’t feel corporate at all. They commit fully to the rock and roll theme, even down to the bag for extra toilet paper, labeled “Rock & Extra Roll.” I’m told the pool is amazing.

There are lots of good bars and restaurants an easy walk away, and the location is a real plus. My girlfriend and I live only 10 minutes away, but have stayed at the Verb three times because it’s such a fun, distinctive place. The VIP trailers are a blast, the pool is great in summer and winter, and the staff are always really friendly and accommodating. Each visit has been a perfect 10. Keep it up!

The breakfast, heated pool, and records were all favorites. I’ve stayed in both the rooms and the airstreams, and they’re very cool. The hotel’s charm had me smiling out loud a few times, and it was comfortable too. I could’ve done without the loud doors at night, but I’m a light sleeper.

The rooms are clean and a good size, and the staff, especially Jake & McKenzie, were friendly and helpful. Even on the coldest nights the pool feels warm and cozy. The lobby is comfortable, with guitars you can pick up if you get a creative urge, and music memorabilia covers the main corridor and the hallways. Valet parking is very convenient, though expensive, and there may not always be a space since it’s limited. Easily the coolest hotel I’ve stayed in.
