The Whitney Hotel

We were greeted with hot chocolate at check-in, which was especially welcome on a cold, stormy night. The staff were personable, and housekeeping kindly pointed us to the pantry on our floor and its complimentary items. Our first-floor room, at the end of a quiet hall, was beautiful and cozy, just what you'd hope for in a luxury boutique hotel. The lobby's Christmas decorations and fireplace made it feel warm and inviting. We stayed one night before my surgery at MGH the next day, and we definitely plan to return sometime.

Breakfast was a highlight: delicious food, thoughtfully prepared, and a lovely start to the day. We found our room spacious, spotless, and comfortable to come back to after walking around Boston. The staff were warm and attentive, always ready with recommendations or help with special requests. The hotel's elegant but relaxed feel fits Boston’s Back Bay, and the holiday decor in the lobby added a festive touch. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return soon. Special thanks to general manager Agnes Hayes for her gracious attention. This charming boutique hotel brings together style, comfort, and excellent service, and I'd happily recommend it.

I was in Boston for medical services and found the location ideal, close to parks, restaurants, and medical facilities. The rooms were clean and neatly appointed, and the atmosphere felt warm and comforting. The staff struck me as first rate: courteous, attentive, respectful, and, above all, personable. They treated everyone with dignity.

The room was spacious and clean, and the location on a lovely street made it easy to get around and wander. The staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our week. The only little annoyance was the heating: it was on in the room, but the bathroom kept getting cold air. Otherwise, a brilliant stay. I'd come back.
