The premier King room was spacious, clean, and full of natural light, and we loved breakfast each morning. The food is always great, and the staff are professional and accommodating. Erin is especially kind and friendly, and seems to handle just about everything. She’s a real asset to the Virginia. Leo is a great bartender, too. We’ve spent Christmas here this year and the last two years, and the service has been outstanding. Our one complaint is the drinks at the bar. They’re pricey, from $18 to $25, and the cocktails barely have any liquor. The martinis come in cute little shot glass sized glasses, but they’re gone in a couple of sips. At those prices, I’d like proper drinks.

We had to cancel our planned visit because of a family difficulty, which would have been our third year in a row celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary there. The hotel reservations staff were so kind, caring, and accommodating that we wouldn’t consider another place for a luxury vacation. Thank you to the Virginia Hotel.

The breakfast that came with the stay was limited, though you could buy extra items. I liked the yogurt and granola enough to make it part of my regular breakfast now. Our room was immaculate, and housekeeping was excellent. The staff were professional, attentive, and friendly. No complaints, and we’ll be back.

For our 10 year wedding anniversary, this was an unforgettable trip. Every meal and drink was a hit. Smoke and mirrors, blackened scallops, and halibut looked picture perfect and tasted even better. We also took the Virginia’s bikes to the lighthouse, watched birds with our binoculars, and had lunch at Beach Plum Farm. Go enjoy the people you’re with, and live, laugh, and love. You won’t be disappointed.

The Ebbit Room is here, and I had the best calamari I’ve ever tasted. There’s valet parking, too. The hotel itself is charming, with excellent staff, and the City bar has a terrific bartender, Lou. You’ll love it!
