La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bowling Green

Jackie at reception was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice and hot, and the dining area was very quiet. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with nicely made beds. Housekeeping came in while we were out, remade the beds, and replaced the towels without disturbing our things. Our cats were terrified, but, well, they are cats. We’ll definitely come back for another weekend away from home.

For $79.35 through booking.com, this stay was worth every cent. I’m picky, but I was satisfied with everything: clean room, comfy beds, tasty breakfast, and a smooth check-in after an employee arrived about five minutes after we found the front desk empty and couldn’t get an answer at the number posted there. The employee was very friendly. The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hairdryer. Breakfast runs from 5 to 9. I got there around 8; the orange juice was gone, but apple juice and coffee were still available. They had eggs, sausage links, a waffle maker, biscuits and gravy, and bagels. The only issue I noticed was that the elevator operating license had expired on September 25, 2025. I stayed October 13, 2025, and let the desk know. I have no doubt they’ll take care of it. I’d recommend the place and stay again if I’m back in Bowling Green.

Jackie at the front desk made our stay. We needed a ground-floor room for an accommodation, but none was available when we booked, so we reserved one upstairs. A few hours later, Jackie surprised us at check-in with a ground-floor room she’d managed to arrange without us even asking. It was such a relief for our road-weary family. Thank you, Jackie! This was the best La Quinta we’ve stayed at, and we’ve been to plenty. The hotel was clean, updated, and quiet, with comfortable beds. It was very dog friendly, too.

Our room was somewhat spacious, but the upkeep was awful, and check-in was quite rude. My wife and I tried to get breakfast around 9:10, thinking it would run until 10 like at most hotels, but it had all been cleared away by 8:30. When we returned around 9:15, our keys had already been deactivated even though checkout was at 11. It was a horrible experience, and we’ll never return. Spend the extra $20-30 and stay somewhere else.
