The Bear room is the only one without a private bathroom, but its bathroom isn’t shared with anyone outside the people staying in that room. Each room has its own theme. The inn itself is a log home with landscaped gardens and a large pool. Breakfast is made there every day, with delicious fresh ingredients sourced locally, and seconds are available. The coffee was just right, and they put out desserts like cake each evening. I came across Horton Creek Inn while looking for a little getaway for my husband and me. It’s on 50 secluded acres in Charlevoix, though closer to Boyne City. The home has an access ramp for anyone who can’t manage stairs and a room on the main floor. As someone with visual impairment, I could get around the house and its spaces without difficulty. If you use a cane for vision, I’d recommend having an escort. For a quiet weekend with local shopping and the Michigan Lakeshores to enjoy, I highly recommend it if you’re in this neck of the woods. Please like and follow for more!

Jeannie and David were wonderful hosts and incredible cooks. The property is beautiful, too. This was our first bed-and-breakfast stay, so they’ve set a pretty high bar for us. We hope to return someday!

Breakfast was a highlight: stuffed French toast, fruit, and sausage. As a hotel General manager and a manager of several Air bnbs, I was impressed by the attention to detail, service, and warm welcome. It’s a real gem of a bed and breakfast, and an absolute must-stay. I only wish I could give it an even higher rating, or spend longer there. The Owners greeted us as we pulled into the driveway, which felt personal. They showed us around the house and outside, then explained our room and how everything worked in detail. The house is beautiful, the rooms each have a theme, and everything was spotless.

A clean, comfortable BnB, and the hosts made a real effort to make us feel welcome. We’d definitely stay again. Thanks, Jeanne and Dave!

We’ve been guests of Dave and Jeannie for 16 years, and the Inn keeps getting better. This time we tried the cabin, which is a great addition to the B&B. Breakfast was amazing as always. This was our second visit to Horton Creek Inn, and everything was excellent again. The owners are attentive and friendly, making sure our stay went well. The grounds are peaceful and beautiful, and breakfast was superb on both mornings. We wanted a quiet getaway, and got that and more.
