Comfort Inn Bozeman near University

We stayed over Valentine’s weekend 2026 at Bozeman comfort inn in Bozeman on 7th near the university, and the service was the best. They gave us a fabulous room with a balcony, and breakfast was outstanding. The breakfast staff were so kind, even asking how our mail was. We enjoyed the amazing pool and hot tub for two nights in a row. After we got home, I realized I’d left my diamond tennis bracelet in the bed. My husband had bought it for our anniversary, and I didn’t notice it was missing until two days after we got home. The laundry staff found it and turned it in to the office, and management made sure it was sent back to me as soon as possible. It just arrived! This place gets five stars from me every time. If I’m in the Bozeman area again, I’ll stay here. It’s close to the Museum of the Rockies and downtown Bozeman, and only hours from major locations. Thanks, comfort inn in Bozeman, we appreciate you. There were plenty of breakfast options, including waffles, cereal, eggs, bagels, bread, muffins, and rotating choices like biscuits and gravy, bacon, roasted potatoes, and egg and cheese omelets. The breakfast was good, though they didn’t have oatmeal or non-dairy milk. Coffee, other hot drinks, and lemon water were available around the clock, with warm cookies at the front desk in the afternoon. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. It’s within walking distance of grocery shopping. The pool and hot tub were clean too, though the hot tub was quite small.

What I didn’t like: there was a strong electrical, burning kind of smell in the room when I checked in, and again when I came back on the third day after housekeeping. I think the team uses an ozone machine while cleaning. Breakfast was nasty, mostly processed shelf-stable food, and the coffee came from an automated machine with concentrated syrup. I also think they use full-size fitted sheets on the queen beds. Every morning I woke up with the bare mattress almost showing. Gross. That said, after four nights, I came back from skiing on the third day to a room that looked untouched, like nobody had slept there. The housekeeping team deserves major credit. This was probably the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, even compared with countless five-star places around the world, including ones that cost mid-thousands per night, Aman Resorts I am looking at you. The bathroom, carpet, desk, bedding, everything was spotless.

For over $100, this room was a big disappointment. The heater blew out pet dandruff and smelled bad, the refrigerator didn’t work even though I needed to keep medication cold, the carpet was dirty, and several outlets and lamps didn’t work. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. I called to complain. The front desk was pleasant and refunded my $50 pet fee, saying they’d look into the room problems. The staff were very nice at both check-in and check-out.
