The room was old, but it smelled fresh and was clean. The bathroom was clean too, with no old bathtub stains like I've seen in some newer hotels. I was a little worried when I booked, but the woman who checked me in was so nice. She was there again when I checked out on December 13 and was honestly one of the nicest people ever. For the price, I think it's really good value.

I booked this by mistake, thinking it was another hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised. The woman serving breakfast made the stay for us: she was kind, had everything ready early, and welcomed us a couple of minutes before opening. Thanks for making the visit pleasant. She deserves a raise.

We prepaid through the Choice Hotels website for a room with two queen beds for our family of four. On July 31, 2025, the staff told us that room was “unavailable” and gave us a king suite with a sofa bed instead. Their own system showed that room had a maximum occupancy of three. When it flagged us as over the limit, staff manually removed our two children from the reservation to get around it. One employee even said, “If there was a fire, remove the kids from your room as this room doesn’t allow 2 kids to stay.” I consider that a serious safety risk and fire code violation, since our children wouldn't have been accounted for in an emergency. Later, we were charged $50 for a “damaged pillow” we'd never used. The pillow was visibly worn when staff brought it from storage. Security cameras may have captured the staff member carrying it under her arm through the hallway and elevator while walking us to the room. Management refused to review the footage, was extremely impatient and kept interrupting me on the call, and never sent the promised report, even though he wrote down my email address. I don't recommend this hotel until serious changes are made. Don't assume a prepaid room will be honored, watch for unsafe occupancy workarounds, and check your card for unexpected charges. I saw no accountability or professionalism from management. We've reported this to Choice Hotels corporate and the relevant authorities.

You get what you see here: a reasonably priced, somewhat rundown hotel, though staff are keeping it clean. They take the 3 p.m. check-in time seriously, but you can wait in the lobby if needed. The free breakfast in the morning was actually pretty decent and well stocked.
