We had a good time for a good price, and I’d stay here again. The service was friendly, and the layout is cute. It feels more like an old lodge than a hotel, though the rooms have apparently been updated. Our room was great, but the lobby and hall felt dated and the whole place could use new carpet. The breakfast selection was decent and mostly fresh, and there’s a nice spot out back for pets to potty. The dining area felt very quiet and awkward for even a quiet conversation. Some music or a louder TV would help.

We stayed two nights, then checked out and moved to another hotel for the remaining three nights of our visit to Bozeman. The staff were excellent, but the hotel felt old, dated, and dingy, with a musty smell and little that felt cozy. Our room looked onto people’s backyards, which was an unappealing view. The room carpet was so stained and old that we had to keep our shoes on. There are three floors and no elevator. The A/C units were too small and didn’t have enough power to keep the room cool or warm. There was no coffee pot or even cups in the room, no ice bucket because there are no ice machines or vending machines, and the TV was very small. The hairdryer couldn’t dry one hair. The prices don’t make sense for a hotel this old. They’re the same as other hotels in town, but those places are worth it: cozy, beautiful, classy, with free breakfast and much more room. How can this hotel charge the same when it isn’t up to par? The most guests should pay is $80 a night. I’m writing this to help the hotel realize a huge remodel is desperately needed. If there’s no budget for that, prices should be reduced.

The building is a bit old, but we were still quite comfortable. The room was clean, the staff friendly, and the location is nice at the start of main street, with everything easy to get to. Our room was by the spa and sauna, but noise from them never bothered us. We had trouble getting the air conditioner comfortable. There was no way to set the fan to run constantly.

This is a clean place near downtown and close to the freeway entrance. The staff were friendly, and I liked that complimentary hot cocoa and tea packets were available for people who don’t drink coffee on cold nights. It’s pet friendly without a huge nonrefundable deposit, has free parking, and the price is good. When other upper-category hotels nickel and dime customers like airlines, little properties like this are perfect for a traveler’s budget.

The rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly, but there are a number of problems. It’s a three-story hotel with no elevator or luggage carts, which makes hauling a lot of belongings difficult. They also don’t provide basic items like ice buckets or plastic garbage liners because of Covid, so you have to ask the front desk. When I arrived, nobody was at the front counter. You’re supposed to use a courtesy phone and dial zero to reach someone, but it’s a phone everyone uses and feels completely unsanitary. Rooms facing the parking lot are noisy, too. You can hear car engines running and horns blowing. I’d think carefully before recommending the hotel, since other local places may have better amenities.
