Days Inn by Wyndham Westminster

We were there for about an hour before deciding we weren’t comfortable staying. The comforter, sheets, pillowcases, and headboard all had stains, and the shower was dirty and looked used. I asked for a refund, but they refused and said there was nothing wrong with the room. I wouldn’t recommend it. I’d give zero stars if I could.

The room changes didn’t solve things. The fridge wasn’t working, though I didn’t notice until the next day, and my food spoiled. The manager ignored my request to reimburse me for the food. The entrance floor was sticky. After I was moved once, a dog next door kept barking constantly, so I moved again. I could finally order more food, but the phones in the rooms don’t work, so any problem means going to the front desk in person. Not good. I’d call $65 a night fair, not $100. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

The room was clean and the beds were fine, but the toilet wouldn’t flush. Breakfast came with the stay, though the choices were sparse: white bread, no butter for the toast or waffle, no ice for drinks, and no pastries. There wasn’t any hot chocolate either, which would be a letdown if I had a child with me. This was Sunday morning, and I expected more from a Wyndom.

The employees at the front desk tried their best to accommodate us, though their reactions made it seem like these problems happen repeatedly. The hotel is very outdated, but it should at least be clean. The first room had dirty sheets with body hair on them. They moved us to an executive suite, which was worse: hair and blood on the sheets, a dirty tub and floors, stains all over the sofa, and food left behind. I asked for clean sheets and changed them myself. The elevator and hallways smelled strongly of marijuana. Worst hotel. I’ve traveled often, including outside the country, and this gives Days Inn a bad name.
