I booked a flight home five minutes after stepping into my unit in building A. The furniture looked like it came from a Salvation Army donation, and the blinds, flooring, and refrigerator all felt bargain grade. Outside, the building looked as if it hadn't been touched since the last hurricane, and the noise was terrible. This deserves a half-star rating. DONT DO IT!

Unit 215 was close enough to walk to restaurants and the beach, which was the upside. Inside, the sofa needed replacing, and the kitchen table and chairs had chipped wood. There were paint chips on the walls, old pots, and dishes with chips in them. The owners had filled the closets with bins, leaving little room to hang clothes, and the beach chairs they provided were terribly uncomfortable. You shouldn't have to clean a rental yourself. Be cautious with management-company rentals, since these places don't seem to get inspected.

The only thing going for this rental was its beachfront location, just across the street. It was loud around the clock, both from traffic and people passing by, and the walls were so thin that none of us slept through the week. One night a couple argued under our bedroom windows at 2:30 a.m. Next door, people smoked pot and drank on their patio all day and night, so it wasn't a good place to sit and eat with small children. The pool area was quite dirty too. We told Duncan Realty about it, but they shrugged and said they'd never had complaints. We soon understood why a week's stay cost under $1,000. We won't return.

I'm a Florida resident, born and raised here, and this place just isn't it. The property manager made a bad first impression before we could even look around: a lady with dirty blonde-ish hair called my niece “sir” and told her she couldn't be there on private property while she sat on the entrance bench by the parking lot, waiting for me to arrive. It felt very judgmental. The place looks small, old, and run-down compared with others on the Island, so you'd think management would at least be humble. It's in a bad spot, just off the Cortez bridge and main crossway. Not worth trying again. I hope it stays in business, especially with management like that. This review is from earlier this year, possibly a little before spring.

The noise was what ruined this beach getaway for me. I live on a busy street at home, but this intersection was on another level, with engines revving, huge trucks passing, and drunk people screaming at all hours. One night we all got up after a drag-racing car spun out and hit a palm tree across the street. It's on one of the main, maybe only, roads into the Bradenton area, and I barely slept. We also had problems with the rental place, Duncan Real Estate 😕, but the location itself brought plenty of frustration. I hadn't expected this kind of noise outside a busy city like New York.
