Causeway on Gull

The location is great, but the units are older and had a bunch of small problems. Right after arriving, check everything and let them know, or you could be dealing with it the whole stay. Our upstairs shower had no water, even after I spent 15 minutes taking apart and reinstalling the track on the sliding door so I could get in. Downstairs, a window was shattered, with just one pane left in the two-panel window. They'd taped over the broken glass edges, which seemed dangerous, and cold air kept coming in all day.

The hot tubs were the reason we bought a unit at Causeway on Gull, and we used ours every day. We used to own there and have stayed many times over the years. Now the Board has stopped operating the tubs in the units, which is a huge loss. My siblings and many of our kids will miss them, and probably won't return.

We came back after staying here a few years ago, but the place seems to be going downhill. There were mice in our unit, and they wouldn't move us even though plenty of other units were open. The maintenance guys were great about taking the mice away. The main bathroom toilet needs replacing, and the shower needs work.

My family had a great week here. The staff were so kind and accommodating, and the rental equipment was in good shape, unlike at a lot of places we've visited. There are activities for all ages, so it's a good spot for families with kids. No swimming beach on site was the one downside, but there are several nearby, and the outdoor pool made up for it. The facility is run very well.
