The grounds are meticulously cared for, with a beautiful golf course and fantastic lake views. Madden's has a friendly staff and a nostalgic, old-fashioned resort feel. Housekeeping made the bedsheets so tightly that you'd need a crowbar to turn them down, and I loved it. The rooms themselves are shabby, though: the carpet is frayed and the furniture is old. Maybe you're expected to spend your time enjoying the resort instead of sitting in your room. I'll still come back, but it's a shame the rooms and lobby haven't been updated.

We had a spectacular conference here. The setting was beautiful, there was plenty to do and lots of space for it, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and respectful. The food was fabulous and exceeded my expectations for gluten-free meals because of Celiacs.

The Mother's Day buffet at Madden's was a lovely way to celebrate the moms. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, with soft lighting and a beautiful lake view. There was an incredible selection, including fresh seafood, prime rib, artisan breads, and a dream of a dessert table. Everything tasted like a celebration, and the staff were attentive.

Madden's staff were professional and very accommodating when we hosted 120 people for a corporate retreat. The accommodations worked well for our group, and the food was better than expected. Whenever we had a question or needed to make a change, they took care of it right away. Thank you, Madden's!
