Colonial Mountain Inn

We were welcomed with smiles as soon as we arrived, and it felt like the staff were genuinely glad to see us. The owners and employees worked together like family, with Smitty right there alongside everyone. The young man and woman making omelettes chatted, laughed, and had fun while cooking them in the open. The omelettes were perfect, and the free breakfast was wonderful, with a good buffet too. The rooms were clean, with comfortable beds, a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and TV. The kids had a blast on the pool slide. Prices were great, and it was refreshing to find an Inn that puts taking care of guests first. If you want ultra-modern rooms with a big screen TV in every room, a huge lobby, and everything computerized, this probably isn’t for you. But if you want a place that values you and your family and will bend over backwards to make the stay good, come here. Thanks to Smitty and everyone for a great weekend. We’ll be back next time we’re in town.

We loved our Memorial Day weekend here. The owners and staff were so friendly, and we enjoyed both the pool and hot tub. It was a relaxed place to vacation, and they made us feel right at home. Being able to sleep in without worrying about missing breakfast was great too. They really made an effort to help guests enjoy their stay. We can’t wait to come back!

The woman was judgmental, rude, power-struck, and very nosy. I used to be part owner and operator of the famous, one-and-only-in-the-world Gablss B&B and Coach House Inn, and I can’t imagine running a motel the way she does.

The room was very clean, and we didn’t hear noise from outside or from anyone beside or above us. The area was quiet, and the staff were very nice at both check-in and check-out. Breakfast was good, with more than just bagels and coffee. There’s a pool and hot tub, both clean and well maintained. The older property looks like it may be undergoing a remodel. I’d stay here again.
