Mountain Country Inn

My family and I stayed at Mountain Country Motor Inn from March 27 to April 12, 2025, and had an awful experience. Our rooms were never cleaned. We got fresh bedding once, and my mother was given the same visibly dirty sheets twice, even after she complained. There was a bathroom leak, and instead of properly cleaning up, staff put a dirty, soaked blanket used to absorb the floodwater on top of my clean towels and washcloths. That was unsanitary and unacceptable. Before checkout, we told staff our oxygen tanks would be picked up by the supplier on Monday. The owner got rid of them without permission. When I called about it, he used foul and threatening language. He also acted aggressively, banging on doors in a threatening way and entering my room without permission when I confronted him. The owners said they were Christians who wanted to help people, but their actions didn’t match those words. This place felt unsafe, unprofessional, and unhygienic. I strongly recommend avoiding it.

A nice little place. Our rooms were clean and there weren’t any problems. I’d recommend it and stay again.

The owners were extremely nice, the room was clean, and the prices were reasonable. I liked everything about the place. I’ll stay again whenever I’m in town.

The owners were accommodating, and housekeeping was very nice. For the price, this was definitely worth it, and THE BEST BAKERY is across the street. The place is a little dated, and the bathroom is very small. Parking was a bit of a nightmare because I was there for a fishing tournament and the lot was full of boats. Since we had two vehicles, one had to go across the street. The beds were super comfy, though.
