The new owners are wonderful people with a real heart for service. They've redone the rooms, beds, fixtures, and furnishings. The hotel itself is beautiful, with large conference rooms as well, so it can work for a big work event or a regular stay. I didn't try breakfast, but I hear it's fantastic. The Plaza is about halfway along the strip and sits a block or two off it, making it easy to reach the main street activities or take the quieter back roads. The king suites have hot tubs in the main bedroom and still have plenty of space. The double rooms are roomy and nicely done, too.

The pool and fitness room were closed, and breakfast wasn't great. I wasn't too bothered by the closures, though. If you want a clean, comfortable room at a great price, this is a good choice, and I'll stay again. The building is beautiful, with new, classic, tasteful furniture, and the view is stunning. It had been closed for over a year before being sold; the new owners have done major renovations and are still working on more. For the value, the experience was hard to beat. I've stayed in five-star hotels without rooms this nice. I'm picky about pillows, linens, mattresses, and showers, and all four got five stars from me. Mike at the front desk was outstanding. He went further than any desk staff I've dealt with to make our stay enjoyable and even gave us his cell number. He's a fantastic asset to the hotel!

The staff did more than expected to make our stay better than any other hotel we've tried in Branson, and the value is outstanding. For our friends and family, Grand Plaza has solved the usual hotel and traffic hassles, and it'll always be our first choice here. The location is quiet, with Tanger Outlet right next door. It's easy to get in and out without dealing with Highway 76 traffic.

My granddaughter and I came to Branson for her 13th birthday, and we were so disappointed. She was especially excited to see the pool after we'd looked at the beautiful pictures in the ads. At check-in, we learned that the hotel had been closed for two years and had only reopened less than a month earlier. The pool and gym were still shut for renovations, so we couldn't use either. My granddaughter was in tears. The desk staff, who were the owners, were very nice, and I understood that the hotel had only recently reopened. But I think they should've told us before we paid, or put the closures on the website. The hotel also smelled moldy, which I assume was from being shut up for two years. Such a letdown.

The business room had plenty of space and a clean bathroom. When things didn't work, staff fixed or replaced them right away, and everyone was very friendly. The internet wasn't great, though. The pool and gym were under construction, and third-party sites didn't disclose that. My kiddo was really disappointed.
