Roark Creek Resort

We found the condo at Roark Creek Resort spotless and feeling brand new, with a kitchen stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and everything needed to cook. We didn’t cook as much as usual because there are so many good restaurants nearby, but it was nice to have the option. The resort was clean and well kept, the pool area was nice, and the workout room looked excellent, though we were too busy to use it. The location made the trip easy, with the main Branson attractions close by, easy access to the main roads, and walking distance to both the Landing and historic downtown. Highly recommend if you want to stay just off the Landing.

For our 38th anniversary, we found this property at the last minute and decided to take a chance since a condo was available on the dates we wanted. It turned out to be a great choice. The condo felt like new inside, while the hotel layout around a large square outdoor pool reminded us of places from our younger years. The pool has shallow areas for kids to play or float, plus a 5-foot deep end. We enjoyed the stay a lot and plan to come back. It’s just north of the Branson landing.

Our second-level condo backed onto the slow-moving river that runs through town, and we really liked that. The resort’s pool looked very nice, though we didn’t use it. We also enjoyed visiting David at the Sound and Light theatre, just a short drive away. There are many Branson, MO attractions nearby, and we liked the waterfront stores, though they seemed a little less nice than on our previous visit. The new free trolley stops at about a dozen places around Brandon and was handy, but it moves slowly, so it’s not a good choice if you’re in a hurry. The Table Rock golf cart ride was a blast, with beautiful rock formations and waterfalls along the route, some of which may be man-made. The museum was a bonus, too. A shuttle takes you up to the overlook, and admission to the large underground museum with lots of artifacts is included with the golf cart ticket package. We loved the trip and our resort stay.

Nice rooms and a big pool, with access to both a gym and an indoor pool. Overall, a nice place.
