Stormy Point Village Lakeside

We’ve stayed here before and enjoyed the cute individual cottages and the pool, so I booked another trip directly. We’re meant to check in next week, but no confirmation email ever came. I took a picture of the screen, so I know the reservation exists. Three customer service agents couldn’t find it, and I got disconnected twice. It’s still unresolved. This shouldn’t be so difficult.

A mi gente, ten cuidado, mira los comentarios. Parece que tienen fama de no ser puntuales, eso lo saco por los comentarios. Lo que si puedo confirmar es lo que me paso a mi. Nos estaban haciendo esperar por el cuarto y esto fue 3 horas despues de que uno pueda entrar al cuarto. Sin ninguna verguenza!! nos dijeron te llamaremos cuando tu cuarto este listo, vete a comer etc... imaginense. Yo con voz baja y directa pedi por el telefono de quejas, queria quejarme y no paso unos minutos y entre llamadas, me dieron la tarjeta para entrar a mi cuarto. Ni ganas de regresar a este lugar.

I spent seven days in a studio apartment at Stormy Point Village Lakeside, though my reservation was supposed to be for a cottage. They wouldn’t move me unless I paid a large amount and gave up all the points I had left through Capital vacations. I asked to move into the apartment next door because I’d seen it was bigger and would suit me and my kids better. They said the whole building was booked, but that unit stayed empty for all seven days. The apartment was filthy. There was dirt on the walls, brown stuff running down the cabinets, stained curtains with cigarette holes, torn bedding, stained towels, cobwebs between the ceiling fan blades, and thick dust on every piece of furniture. The head of the bed was broken, so we slept at an angle. The floors were so sticky and dirty our feet turned black after a few hours, and I had to buy my own broom and mop. Housekeeping carried clean linens uncovered on the backs of golf carts, in the same place they put dirty linens and trash. Customer service was awful and rude. We won’t stay again, and I’ll tell people to avoid it. It’s a shame such a cute place is run so poorly.

The house and location were great, and ticket prices were good. Service wasn’t as good. The pool slide was shut down, a couple of items that were supposed to be in the home were missing, and we couldn’t use the dock for our boat. The sales and marketing people were very deceptive. This was our first visit to Stormy Point Village as owners in Capital Vacations Club.
