Hollllllllyyyyyyy fent den Batman, this place is bonkers. The long-term renters' kids were banging around until 12:00am, and the room itself had a window made out of 7-up boxes. A filthy, old camping table really added to the ambiance, and the pillow looked like someone had made a sacrifice on it. Ever wanted to feel like you were in Trainspotting? This place has you covered! There were no other rooms available in town, so we took one here, then left because it was so gnarly. We ended up an hour and a half north at a hotel that felt safe and quiet, for $70 more. Just say no to Travel Inn, kids.

I was there when the big earthquake hit, I think it was 2011. That was a long time ago, but I seriously doubt anything has changed unless the place has been leveled and is now run by a hotel chain. Most rooms seemed to be rented to long-term residents and travelling railroad workers, so this didn't feel like a place for an overnight stay, especially when tired. Some kind of "transactions" seemed to be going on too. People kept visiting one room for just a few seconds throughout the night. A couple of residents were drinking and partying all night. In the morning there were empty beer bottles, trash, and cigarette butts on the part of my A/C unit that stuck out into the walkway. It was below the window, at just the right height to use as a table. Around two in the morning, I went to complain to the maintenance worker, whose room was nearby. I think he lived there as part of his salary. There were about six people partying in his room, which looked like something from Hoarders: Buried Alive. I'm not sure how he fit them all in. The railroad workers left for work around 3:30 in the morning, so about a dozen doors slammed around then. Some people were also knocking on the doors of workers who were running late. Other reviewers have covered the sanitation, so I'll just say it was poor at best. If you can sleep through anything and don't mind wearing shoes in the shower, this may suit you. If you want to rest, look elsewhere. I'd be horrified to see what the place looked like under a U/V light. For God's sake, don't take your family here!

I needed a room for a week, and the first rental was a little shaky. It was dusty and needed some work, so I gave it four stars. I needed another week and got a really good room. It was big enough to move around in my wheelchair, and there was plenty of room for the wheelchair in the restroom.

They put us in a room with bunk beds, which seemed fine at first. But they were so hard and thin, it felt like being in county jail, and I've never been to jail.

The rooms have been newly done, and the place is decent overall. The rules are a little weird, though.
