The inn and grounds were lovely, and everything was clean. Homer and Anne were wonderful hosts. Breakfast was hearty and delicious, and we enjoyed the game room too. Even Rockne the dog was a delight. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

We spent a week here while visiting family nearby, and felt so welcome the whole time. Ann and Homer were lovely, and their sweet dog Rockney was a joy. We had the beautiful king suite, which came with lots of extras. The breakfasts were wonderful. We’ll definitely come back.

The bed was really comfortable, the shower was nice, and breakfast was the best I’ve had anywhere. The man innkeeper was helpful and gave us good places to eat and directions. When we arrived, a beautiful big lab greeted us, barking loudly. We like dogs, but I can see how that might scare some people. The woman innkeeper seemed odd, and it felt unprofessional to find her asleep on the common-area couch when we came back from dinner. There weren’t instructions for the fireplace, so we spent a while figuring it out. The tea bar was said to be open all day and night, but there were no directions for the pot, so I didn’t get any tea. We also didn’t know the ceiling fan used a wall switch until morning. My husband was hot all night, though I liked not having air blowing on me. I was disappointed that the indoor pool was closed, since pools are one of the things I look for when booking. I should have noticed the website said it was closed, so that part is on me. The room was clean and breakfast was amazing, but knowing about the pool would have changed my choice. I would have picked a hotel.

We had a fantastic birthday weekend at Scottish Bed & Breakfast, right in Amish country. Anne greeted us along with her charming chocolate Labrador Boomer, who really is the best. My husband booked the room with a king bed and whirl jet bathtub, but in the bathroom I especially loved the heated towel rack and, yes, the heated toilet seat. That was the best ever. We visited the Dime store, a candy shop I’d recommend if you love sweets like I do, then had dinner at Doc Pierces, which was fantastic. The next morning, Homer did his famous card trick before serving breakfast: egg souffle, bacon, hashbrown, fresh strawberries and grapes with fruit dip, plus delicious coffee cake. I’m making that this week for Thanksgiving. Homer, who is Amish, also taught me a few things, including how to make garden tea. Anne and Homer are the best, and we had the best time. These are the kind of memories that last forever.

Homer, the owner, goes out of his way to make your stay memorable, and his knowledge of the area made our trip special. This adorable bed and breakfast has an indoor pool and a DVD collection. Our room also had a fireplace, whirlpool tub, and private balcony. Breakfast was really good every morning, with fresh fruit and locally sourced ingredients, and we got to choose what we wanted the night before. The service felt like the kind of personal care you remember from years ago. I’d give this place more stars if I could. We’ll be back, and I highly recommend it.
