Super 8 Motel - Bremerton

There were three pillows in the room, so we called to ask for more. The response was basically, “I mean, we're a Super 8, but I'll see what I can do.” We got two extra pillows, but had to put the pillowcases on ourselves. Cleanliness was a problem from the start. There were ants all over the front desk when we checked in, and they were in our room too. I think we brought some home: there were none when we left, but a day after unpacking, ants started appearing around the house. In the room, there was hair on the shower wall above the laminate, mold inside the clear plastic shower knob, hard water stains and general grime in the sink, and black and pink smudges on the wall by the bed. We'll spend our next $100 somewhere else.

I called to ask whether they could beat an online price for a stay of two nights, maybe three. The man who answered was absolutely rude and hung up. The motel has bad reviews, and it's in a bad area. If you want better reviews, be nice and offer good rates. Train your staff to make better choices so the motel can make money.

Check-in and checkout service was great, but the rooms were nasty and dirty. The first one had pee on the bathroom floor and muddy footprints on the toilet seat and lid. In the second room, there were burn marks all over the tables and counters, old food stuck in the cracks of the only table, holes in the walls, and paint on the floor. A cockroach was crawling on the wall behind the big mirror, and the place stunk so badly of Pine-Sol. I've never stayed at a Super 8 like this. Super 8 is usually awesome, but not this one!

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The beds were comfortable, and I didn't see any bedbugs. The showers can get as hot as you want, so the rooms basically come with free saunas.
