I only booked a night because I found a $99 Sunday room while looking around Google Maps after friends rented a house in Cypress for a Saturday party. It turned into a mini vacation. This lovely house has pretty grounds and felt like a classic B&B. It’s a short drive from downtown, but sits peacefully on a large, tree-surrounded lot in a residential neighborhood, not miles outside the city. Breakfast was very good, and I could charge my phone and use my laptop thanks to a two-pronged outlet by the bed and several three-pronged ones by the chair. My only criticism was the slippery shower floor in the Library Room. A mat would make it safer. The bathroom was very small, though that’s just a limitation of the space. I’m 5'3", size 20, and found it comfortable apart from the shower floor. If you’re much larger than me, you’ll probably want one of the upstairs rooms. I adored the place and would stay again if I’m in Brenham.

It was the traditional bed and breakfast we hoped for, with a lovely room, great breakfast, and very nice owners. The property felt beautiful, private, and secluded, set off from the quiet neighborhood by foliage and a brick wall.

Check-in was simple, and my night in the Library Room was great overall. The room was very clean, and I’d stay again. The shower was a bit short and small, though with a property this old, we should be glad each room has its own private bathroom.

We stayed for the weekend and it felt like a home away from home. The hosts were friendly, like catching up with a friend you haven’t seen for a while. Breakfast might look simple, but it was delicious and had that same homey feeling. We’ll be back.

My best friend and I stayed in the Carriage House while visiting the Round Top Antique show. It was roomy and comfortable, and we had a really nice experience. The owners were super friendly and accommodating. We’d recommend it and stay here again.
