Ski's Western Motel

The gentleman here was incredibly kind when I was in a tight spot and had no cash. I had some very old, valuable currency, worth well over 20 times its face value, and didn’t want to spend it at face value. I explained my situation, and he agreed to hold my money until the next day, when I could get cash to cover the room. I offered him an extra 25% for helping me, but when I came back to pay, he refused it. He said he didn’t need extra money and only wanted to help and do the right thing. I was amazed by his consideration and kindness. The room was very spacious, clean, and nice, and everything worked. Too bad about the table. I’m going to stay here again. Thanks again.

The owner was horrible. The people in the room next to me were smoking fetnal, and the owner knew about it but did nothing. He wouldn’t give me a different room and only refunded half of what I paid. Then he tried to make me leave the property before I’d gotten all my things out of the room.

I stayed in August and had a quiet, comfortable night for under $100. The towels were very clean and luxurious, and the room had AC, a fridge, microwave, and bathtub. It did need a little fixing, including a broken bathroom floor tile, but I was happy with the stay for the price.

The manager was rude and gave us attitude over the price the assistant manager had quoted. There wasn’t any continental breakfast, despite what the billboard outside the motel advertised, and the coffee in the morning was cold. Noise went on all night in front of the motel and in the back lot by the bar. There was still a parking-lot party going strong at 4:30 AM. The place smelled old and musty, and we had to leave the window open all night to get air.
