Visiting Topping Rose during the quieter months is a great idea, especially with the holiday magic underway. Summer out east gets chaotic, and there's really nowhere else in the Hamptons where you can walk to dinner and shopping, so the splurge feels worth it. We just finished our fourth annual holiday season trip, and this may have been the best one yet. The main house is especially cozy and comfortable in winter. The team is excellent. Special thanks to Danielle, Jenna and Matt for being so kind and accommodating. The location is perfect. Thanks again to the team, and we can't wait to be back next year!

The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and the room was spotless. Loved the amenities: turndown service, slippers, robes, complimentary snacks and drinks, plus a bottle of Long Island Rosé. They got everything right. Thanks for such a wonderful stay.

The pool was great, and they can bring food and drinks to you if you'd like. We stayed in a glorious suite with outdoor space. This was a treat from my friend, and the hotel is definitely luxurious. The service was exceptional. There were lots of luxury cars in the parking lot, and our room had a bottle of local wine and a welcome basket of snacks. There are bikes to borrow if you want to take a stroll, plus a restaurant where we had an amazing breakfast. Plenty of places to shop and eat are within walking distance. It's dog friendly, too, and has a great vibe!

The bar was a great part of the evening while my wife and I waited for dinner. Once seated, we started with delicious tuna tartare. Then came the Ribeye for two, and that's where the meal went downhill. For anyone thinking of ordering it, don't. The cut was full of gummy fat, and I was chewing each bite for nearly a minute because I was too embarrassed to spit it out. Long Island has Peter Lugers, Bryant and Cooper, Capital Grille, Prime, and other phenomenal steakhouses where you can cut the meat with a fork. At $189, I shouldn't have to do manual labor to cut my steak. It may be the worst restaurant steak I've ever had, and I'm not exaggerating. Dessert was disappointing too. The molten chocolate cake was boring, and the scoop of vanilla ice cream was frost bitten, dry, flavorless, and flaked apart when pressed, leaving a strange texture on my tongue. No one asked how the meal was, but the waiter was quick to bring the check. For two people, six drinks, an appetizer, and an entree, the total was $648 with gratuity. For that price, I expected much more. I get that a restaurant can have a bad night, but at those prices, it shouldn't.

The food is the best in the Hamptons, and the boutique hotel is wonderful. Service was excellent thanks to Jerry, Eileen and Kailin. We hope to come back with our girls this summer.
