Legacy Vacation Resorts Brigantine Beach

I was surprised to get one of the Penthouse suites on the top floor, and I was so pleased. The private patio had a breathtaking, peaceful view. The whole hotel has such an amazing 1920's feel, like stepping back in time, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It's reasonably priced and close to the beach. This vintage resort is lovely, and it's definitely my new favorite place in New Jersey! 🤩

The one-bedroom suite had everything we needed, and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed three nights at the end of December, and the hotel itself is beautiful. You can't beat the location or the price. The room does show its age. The couch was peeling, and there wasn't a light in the kitchen. Even so, we'll absolutely return.

We came with our well-behaved rescue dog, who had a great time on the beach. From our spacious, well-appointed room, the ocean and northern brigantine views were sensational. The beach was wide and beautiful, with dunes and only a few walkers, dogs, and fishermen around. The room had a table, full mini-kitchen, and a nice-sized bedroom. Furnishings were dated but comfortable, and we could raise the large windows about five inches to let in fresh air and the soothing surf. It was over 60 degrees both days. We stayed on site for dinner since we were tired. The attached restaurant was bustling, with a full, creative menu, amazing views, plenty of TV's for the World Series, and tempting cocktails. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. The next day we went to Iannis, two blocks away, for a wonderful breakfast. The following day we had a leisurely breakfast at the Brigantine Bistro, which we also recommend, but got back late for checkout. Mabel at the front desk kindly called to remind us it was time to leave, and was helpful and hospitable. This is a practically 100-year-old grande dame of the Jersey Shore, and if you like pre-war architecture and character, you'll likely be happy here. I grew up in a creaky 1860's oyster shack on the river near Asbury Park, so I felt right at home. There were a few compromises: parking would be tight in summer, as you'd expect at a beachfront place; the room TV was small by today's standards but fine; there weren't many outlets for charging phones; and the pool was cool. The bathroom had regular tiles at the base instead of bull-nosed ones, but the water pressure was excellent, the shower products came in three easy-to-use pumps, and hot water arrived almost instantly. We also weren't paying Ritz-Carlton prices. To me, it was definitely a 5-star experience, and we'll be back!

We had a great stay. The rooms were super clean and ready to live in, with a full set of kitchen supplies, including a coffee machine, toaster, and blender. It's pet friendly, right on the beach, and next to a great restaurant. The staff get five stars for service with a smile. It's an older building, from 1927, which is more reason to love it. In Brigantine, NJ, say no more. We'll be back!
