Cobblestone Inn Brillion

We were told we could get a full refund if we checked out right away. I asked three times to make sure, and was told yes, but my card statement showed only a partial credit. When I called, the man I’d spoken with denied ever promising a full refund. The customer service was trash. Our room also had a strong chemical smell that didn’t seem like cleaning products, and it didn’t smell clean. The TV was broken, and the room phone didn’t work, so we had to go to the front desk before leaving for the wedding next door. The desk person called a man on FaceTime, who said he’d come fix things. We returned between the wedding and reception and found him in our room with a bag of TV remotes. None worked. He said he couldn’t fix the TV and that the smell was normal. I knew I couldn’t sleep with it all night, so he offered a refund if we checked out immediately. This was a trash hotel.

The Cobblestone Inn & Suites in Brillion is a clean, nice place to stay when visiting Wisconsin. It’s also a good stop between Green Bay and Milwaukee, with few better options. The staff were accommodating, and they even offered to ship an item I’d accidentally left behind.

The room looked like they’d only made the beds. Someone’s old, used contacts were still on the table between them. I was there for a friend’s wedding and needed early check-in. At first it seemed fine, but when I arrived they tried to make me leave a review before I’d even stayed. They said I’d have to wait another two hours to check in if I refused, which would have kept me from getting ready for the wedding. I wouldn’t recommend it, though it works if you have no choice.

The room was clean and nice, and I was impressed with my stay. There was a snag with the early check-in I’d arranged before arriving, but they sorted it out quickly.
