The internet kept cutting out, and the bed and sheets made me so itchy that I couldn’t sleep at all. We’d only stopped for one night to rest, but left early to get back on the road. We didn’t even feel comfortable using the sink to brush our teeth or taking a shower. At $100, this was nowhere near acceptable. I’d expect basic conditions for a much cheaper stay, but this was a really unpleasant experience and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The internet in our room was the one real problem, dropping in and out at random. Otherwise, it was a good room for the price, with decent breakfast, comfortable beds, and plenty of space. It was sufficiently clean and quiet too.

The firm mattresses were comfortable, which was about the best part of our stay. The owner apologized a lot, and the toiletries and hair dryer were fine, but the place needs major work. We were two women arriving late and were first given a room that was already occupied. Night management seemed clueless and denied it. Our keys failed three times, the rooms were in disrepair, one bedframe was damaged on a side, and the sheets were thin and had holes. The toilet kept running, the remote didn’t work, and there was no ice, so we had to ask at the front desk. Housekeeping walked in before checkout. Don’t leave your things unattended. It was cheap, so you get what you pay for. I’d give it a 2.

December 2025. The location was convenient, and the beds were actually comfortable, though I had to put the condition of the rest of the place out of my mind to sleep. We rented two rooms on a family cross-country trip, and we’ve stayed in plenty of budget hotels, but I can’t recommend this one. Many of these complaints seem to go back years. I wonder if anything is being done. There was trash left behind, including a soiled baby diaper, though I no longer have babies. There were no drinking cups or wash towels, and a used, dirty towel was hanging on the bathroom door. The fridge freezer was iced shut, the WiFi was spotty and hard to connect to, and there was no ice basket or coffee maker. The key cards took three or four tries to open the doors. The breakfast description promised pancakes, but the machine was broken. All they had was cold cereal and yogurt, and the juices were so watered down they tasted horrible, the worst I’ve had in many years of travel. There were stink bugs in the room, I flushed five, and a spider on the ceiling looked like it had been there a long time. This is a very old building with a lot of wear. The bathrooms were tiny and dirty, with water-stained toilets. One toilet was dirty enough that I cleaned it myself with Clorox wipes, and I forgot to take a photo. They need new toilet seats, and the bathrooms, ceilings, and walls need work. The counter had stains, the bed skirts were stained with who knows what and looked old and filthy, and the sofa chair was disgusting. One room’s HVAC worked fairly well, but the other one didn’t work very well. When you turn on the shower, water still comes from the tub faucet, which cuts the shower flow, and the tub fills up instead of draining. There was only one small, roughly gallon-sized trash can between both rooms.

For an overnight stop to get some rest, it was worth it. The room was clean and tidy, and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. The ice machine was out of order, and breakfast wasn’t anything special.
