Extended Stay Ormond Beach

We’ve been here a week, and housekeeping hasn’t knocked once to ask whether we need towels or fresh linens, or to sweep, mop, or clean the toilet. The trash I left outside the door sat there for three days. I’ve worked as a housekeeper in plenty of hotels, and stayover rooms still need attention regardless of how long guests are staying. I knew this wasn’t a top-notch place, but I expected more from a hotel. I’m disgusted with it, and both properties should just close. There’s also a power strip for the refrigerator and TV that trips and cuts power to the room, so you have to reset it. That seems like a fire hazard. The smoke detector has a dead battery and doesn’t work. I’ll never come back or recommend this hotel.

I couldn’t sleep here. You can hear everything through the paper-thin walls, from noisy neighbors yelling to trucks on the highway and the train going by. Someone even tried my door handle and checked the door. The first room was so trashed and smelled so strongly of mold that I refused to stay in it. There were forks on the floor and dirt everywhere. The second room was still very dirty, and the neighbors were extremely loud. I wore shoes inside the whole time. This place shouldn’t be renting rooms in this condition. After reading the other reviews, it sounds like it’s been a slump for years. Ormond should be ashamed to let this business keep operating. Expedia should remove it from the site. I’ll explain and show them my video and pictures. It’s so disgusting they should pay you to stay there. I honestly wondered if I was on a hidden-camera game show. It’s the worst hotel or motel I’ve ever seen or tried to stay in. The whole business should be ashamed and fired.

The pool was great, and we felt safe here. The other guests were friendly, too. It’s a cute, affordable hotel with amazing staff who take care of anything you need right away. Nothing fancy, but I’ve never stayed at a better affordable hotel.

I stayed in three rooms, and all of them had roaches. In the first one, the ceiling fell on me while I was taking a shower. Maintenance staff seem clueless and are hard to find, especially on weekends. Nobody works, and trash piles up, even on the sidewalk.
