Budget Host Inn Bristol

It may not look like much from the outside, but inside the rooms are clean and updated, and they don't smell of smoke. The value was amazing for a location close to Bristol Motor Speedway. A great place to rest after a day of travel.

There aren't any towels or washcloths left in the rooms, so you have to walk to the office to ask for them. They say they'll bring some, then forget, even after you've asked multiple times.

We had to put down a deposit for a room with a hole in the bathroom door and no towels or washcloths. The toilet seat had been completely removed, and the whole complex had a clogged sewer system. The tubs and showers wouldn't drain, and we couldn't even flush the toilet. Guests were buying their own Drano just to try to use the toilets. The guy running the place overslept and missed checkout time. I think he does this hoping guests leave without getting their deposit back.

The room was in rough shape for $119 a night. The floors hadn't been swept, the bedding was poor quality, the lampshades were dark with dust, and the shower liner was stained with mold around the tub. There was no toilet paper, holder, towels, or toiletries, not even a little soap. Most rooms seemed to be for smokers, and as a result had no smoke detector. Only the top door lock worked properly. I wouldn't come back or recommend it to anyone wanting a clean, comfortable stay. The young woman at the desk was kind and helpful, but the front office door stays locked and you have to use a phone outside to call for help. That didn't feel welcoming.
