I booked one night at this Days Inn for 10/13/2024, but when I entered the room, drain flies were all over the walls and curtains, and a couple were on the bed. There were also dead bugs by the heater. I didn't even bring my suitcase in. The employee gave me another room when I asked, but said the bugs were normal in Tennessee. There were fewer in the new room, but it was still a problem, so I cancelled and got my money back. The employee claimed I'd have the same issue at any hotel in Tennessee, despite my Tennessee license. I live here and know that's wrong. I've stayed at several hotels in the state without this problem. The owner and staff clearly aren't taking pride in keeping rooms clean and pest free.

The location was great, but the hotel lived up to its low rating. It's dirty and run down, and it seems the owners spend as little as possible on upkeep, cleaning, and breakfast. All the rooms smelled like smoke. We looked at three, and the third had the least odor. In one room, one bed had wet sheets, and breakfast was almost nonexistent.

We had trouble right from check-in. The rooms didn't match the online pictures, they couldn't locate the second room we'd booked, and another customer came in complaining about bedbugs. Room 301 looked awful, with a floor stain that looked like blood, a door that seemed to have been kicked in, roaches, and walls falling apart. Housekeeping never came. We asked them to sweep and mop and deal with the roaches, but nothing was done. We had to insist on clean towels, and couldn't get extra pillows because staff said too many were stolen. There were 11 of us in three rooms, and I just wanted at least three pillows on each bed, like the other room my family had. The shower rod fell off the wall and hit my husband. He reported it and asked for a repair while we were out, but when we returned, it had been tossed onto our bags outside the shower. He went back to the office, and we were finally moved to another room. The hotel needs a lot of work and new management, housekeeping, maintenance, and grounds staff. Mis Glenda and Mr Brian were the two people who were kind and helpful, and I appreciate their customer service. The District manager should look into the rest of the staff, including drug testing. I took pictures of the room but don't know how to post them.

Brian at the front desk helped us tremendously during our stay of a few days. Even with the race in town, my wife and I got a beautiful room for the best deal possible. It was clean and well kept, and housekeeping checked every day to see if we needed anything. The other workers were great too, though Brian was the one we dealt with most. If he's working, you're in good hands at the Days Inn off Volunteer Parkway. We'd definitely choose it again.

The building looked worn and basic, and at first we wondered if booking here was a mistake. But our room had been renovated and was clean. For the price we paid through booking dot com, we were satisfied, especially with rates at other hotels being so high. Breakfast was nothing special, though the fresh bagels were a plus. The room was quiet and didn't smell of stale cigarettes, and it came with a new TV, refrigerator, and heating system, plus an iron and board and a microwave. Nothing fancy, but it was clean and affordable with useful conveniences. We got good value and a quiet night's sleep. If you're after a five-star hotel, this isn't it, so it depends on what matters to you.
