Delta Hotels Bristol

After nearly giving up on Marriott, I was grateful to find this property. The value was great, and the customer service was an unexpectedly pleasant surprise. The front desk staff were extremely professional and went above and beyond at check-in. It brought back the feel of those SPG days I miss.

The room was clean, nice, and relaxing, and the woman who checked me in was polite and friendly. I wish she'd had a name tag so she could get recognition. The guest laundry is only on the 5th floor and is really limited, with two washers and two dryers. The Whirlpool machines are very dated, and one dryer was broken. I only found that out after my clothes came out still soaking wet. I tried breakfast, but it wasn't great. The young woman serving didn't have a name tag or even offer a friendly good morning. She asked if I wanted a menu, I said yes, and right after handing it over she asked whether I already knew what I wanted or needed to look. I rushed and picked the first thing, a breakfast burrito with potatoes. The plating looked nice, but there was way too much sea salt on the potatoes. The burrito was okay, with maybe a few bacon crumbles, diced tomato, some onion, and about three or four eggs. The waitress never interacted with me or the other guest, and I felt like a burden for asking for food and a drink.

We stopped here on both legs of our road trip, and had an excellent stay each time. Dinner was excellent, too. The place is clean, the staff are great, and it's affordable, especially when breakfast comes with the room. Breakfast isn't a lousy buffet either, you order from a menu.

We travel a lot and have stayed in plenty of hotels over the last year or two, but this was easily our best experience. Everything felt clean and safe, and every team we encountered was SO KIND, from the front desk and dining room to maintenance and housekeeping. The waitress went above and beyond with our breakfast orders on both days. She was great. I wish I'd gotten the names of everyone who helped us. Great job Marriott, this location deserves a huge pat on the back. Every hotel should be held to its standards!
