Tru By Hilton West Bristol Tn

I check the rooms I stay in, and this one impressed me more than any hotel I've visited. The bathroom was immaculate, from the clear shower glass and mirror to the clean grout and buildup-free showerhead. Floors were spotless, and the white linens were neatly set out. The staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful, and the whole property was exceptionally clean. They even displayed my name on the TV when I arrived. Best hotel stay I've had, and I'll be back next year.

Breakfast had the works: eggs, sausage, waffles, pancakes, toastables, fruit, coffee, and juice. I liked the room setup more and more as I stayed. Tru is an interesting place, decorated like someone let Ikea loose, but the furniture is actually practical. There are six or eight hooks in the main area and three in the bathroom, a short but useful open closet bar, and a bench under the huge TV with room beneath for shoes and other things. The nightstand has a lower shelf for sliding a laptop onto, and the little desk rolls wherever you want it. The rooms were clean, though there was a medium-to-large spider near my door. The location was a bit odd but GPS got me there.

This location was clean and the staff were great, but the room felt cramped and uncomfortable. The bed seemed cheap and worn out, the pillows were lumpy, and the sheets were entirely polyester. Those microfiber polyester sheets don't breathe, and hotels really need to stop using them. The door also stuck and was very hard to open. Then someone set off the fire alarm at 1 a.m., which was frustrating with an early start ahead. I stayed at a few Trus when they first opened around 2018, and they were comfortable and clean. It feels like they've gotten cheap since then.

Huge thanks to JJ for making us feel so comfortable and happy during our stay. JJ is a one-of-a-kind employee, and every staff member at the Bristol location was amazing and accommodating. The rooms were clean and tidy too. We'll definitely stay there again.
