The Seasons Lodge

The rooms were really nice, and each had a balcony, which was lovely for morning coffee and winding down at night. Everyone we met was great, from the woman who answered my call for information to the restaurant greeter who brought a pitcher of ice water to our room for a couple of perimenopausal ladies. The restaurant servers were friendly to chat with and pointed us to some awesome nachos. I'm hoping to get back to the area for hiking and plan to stay here again.

The staff were very nice, and the room was spacious and clean. I loved the deep bathtub and all the hot water. But the bed was torture. I couldn't get comfortable at all. The mattresses are definitely due for an update, and the pillows are so thin they might as well not be there. Those need replacing too.

With nine inches of snow outside and bitter cold from an unusual winter storm, the lodge was still warm and cozy. It's a solid, beautiful building, and my room was absolutely cavernous. Everything was clean, and the coffee machine in the lobby was superior. This is hands down the nicest non-chain hotel I've stayed in. I have no complaints and will definitely bring the family back. There's no fitness room at all, but my room had more than enough space for some calisthenics and kettlebell work.

We had a great stay at the Seasons Lodge, and the lunch we ate at Rafters was fantastic. Because of the winter storm, the restaurant and bar closed early, like the rest of town, so we wish we'd had a chance to try dinner. We'll return when winter is over. The pool was gone, though. We planned to swim, then found the area filled in with concrete. I gave it five stars because the lodge was a great place to stay, but if I could, I'd take off half a star for the missing pool. I should have researched more instead of relying on eight-year-old photos.
