Green Valley Lodge

We arrived to check in at 5pm on Saturday, but nobody was onsite, so I had to call to find out where our key was. I called the same guy on Sunday to ask how checkout worked. The “clean” towel had someone’s black hairs all over it, and the place smelled and was full of Asian beetles. Do not recommend.

The room was stuffy and dusty, with outdated furnishings and barely any outlets. The curtain was damaged and wouldn’t close. There was no one there when we arrived, so I called and was told our room number and that the key was under the mat. They advertise free coffee in the lobby, but there was none, and the office was locked. When I called, I was told nobody would be there until 2:00 today. I understand it’s an inexpensive hotel, but don’t advertise coffee and then not have it. 0/10.

The room was a typical older motel room and decent enough, but getting checked in was frustrating. Someone had to find my reservation and call me back while my four kiddos, husband, and sister were sweltering and ready for a shower. The room took a while to cool down, though the AC worked great once it did. The bathroom had no vents, and the shower leaked onto the rest of the floor. It also could have been cleaned better. The WiFi never worked, the fridge was broken, and there was an ice bucket but nowhere to get ice. At 3am, I woke up to a spider under my pillow. That was probably my worst hotel experience. My nephews in the next room were covered in bites that itched the next day. We even had to call the next day to check out. I’ll never recommend this place or stay here again.

This is a beautiful property with a lot of potential. Some people may call it outdated, but the nostalgic vintage look seems intentional.
