I needed a safe, comfortable place to stay with my pets after winter storm Fern, and they allowed pets, which made them heroes in my book. My mom booked the room for me, and the hotel made it easy for her to pay and for me to check in. The price was reasonable for the circumstances, and the room was more than adequate for what I needed. Sheila was friendly and kept me informed, even with the stressful situation for both staff and guests. I was glad she was there to help at such a difficult time. The bed and linens felt really cozy to me, and my cat liked lying on the bed too, so that says something! Parking does cost extra, but it was about $12 a night, which I don't think is too bad. I didn't try the on-site restaurant, so I can't comment on it.

The airport shuttle was prompt, and the driver was really nice. He guessed our checked bag at 45 pounds, and was close, it was 41. We left our car there for one third the cost of airport parking, with no long walk. Lalita was very courteous and helped us sign up for the rewards program.

Our stay was cozy and comfortable, and the food was very good. Everyone was so polite, friendly, approachable and accommodating, from the front desk and food service team to the housekeeping staff on the 6th floor. Austin and Kelsey from food services were great. Sheila was very helpful in finding resources. We appreciate everyone so much.

I booked through the IHG app at first because we were coming to the area for a family dance competition. Then I found a better price on booking.com. I know third-party bookings can be a bad idea, but our plans seemed settled, so I canceled the original booking and reserved through booking.com, paying the property directly. On Tuesday, 2/17/26, I called the hotel to ask whether I could cancel without a fee because of certain circumstances. Sibu said yes, it wouldn't be a problem, and told me to have booking.com contact the property. But booking.com told me the hotel planned to charge the cancellation penalty anyway, even though I'm an IHG rewards member. I then spoke with two more team members and was told the decision was final. Since they were going to charge it, I said we'd make it work and asked them to keep the reservation. I was told the GM would call by 5 p.m. that day, but no one called. I struggle with promises that aren't followed through. If someone guarantees something, they should follow up and coach the team member privately afterward. When we arrived, the pool was closed for maintenance. That was upsetting because the indoor pool was one of the reasons I booked here. No apology, points or anything were offered. That night I asked for milk for my son, and the front desk said they couldn't help. Our floor was 80 degrees. I told the desk, but nothing came of it. The next morning I asked for milk again because there was cereal in the marketplace. I was given a tiny water cup, about 2-3 oz, half full of milk. I had no problem paying, but not for half of an extremely small cup. Breakfast was another letdown and one of the reasons we'd chosen the property. The buffet looked terrible, no one greeted us, and there was no milk again, so we went elsewhere. We came back at 10 a.m. and the pool was still green. When I asked at the desk, they said it should have remained closed. The manager and maintenance guy eventually came out and said it was safe, and only looked green because the sun was reflecting off the water. Really? I held up a clear plastic water cup and it was green. Green means algae, which means bacteria, which means it wasn't safe at all. They promised that my child and I wouldn't be harmed. I have a problem with big promises like that. Since this had been an issue from check-in, I asked the manager to move us to a sister property. He said no, they couldn't, but I could check out. That was the end of it for me. In 10 years, I'd never once been told, in effect, “Sorry you're having a miserable time, you can leave if you want to.” I'm very disappointed. If team members approve waiving a cancellation fee, management needs to honor it. If the hotel makes a mistake, it needs to make things right. And if staff promise guests they are safe, they need to be absolutely sure they can back that up. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen. It sounds like something is wrong here. Maybe management is out of touch, or burnt out and doesn't care. Maybe the management team and company aren't aligned and the property isn't being managed properly. Or maybe the owners have given up supporting the business, and looking after guests has become a burden.

I might make this my go-to hotel when I'm in town. The price was good, it's fairly new, and the rooms were spacious, quiet and very clean. Full-sized body wash, lotion, shampoo and conditioner were nice touches. Staff were up early and available, refreshing rooms. A heads-up, the downstairs restaurant food was terrible, the chicken sandwich and wings. We got our money back. Priceline advertised the breakfast buffet as included, but it wasn't. Still, I give the experience a 5.
