Americas Best Value Inn Nashville Downtown

I only needed a cheap place at the last minute to crash, so I wasn't too bothered by the condition. Still, I wouldn't stay here if you plan to spend much time in your room. There were cockroaches, the carpet was peeling up along the side, and the bathroom wall had a hole. The outlets barely stayed in place, the room smelled bad, and it wasn't very clean. Room service came just once, and I had to ask several times for fresh towels. You get what you pay for, though I'm sure there are better places for about the same price if you take time to look.

The room needs updating, and paint was peeling all over, but the roaches were the main problem. They came out while we were watching TV. Service was terrible too. We had to track someone down for toilet paper, clean towels, and washcloths. It was quiet outside apart from people coming and going next door. The exterior needs work, and the ice and soda machines were blocked off so we couldn't use them. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I didn't feel safe or comfortable in this extremely sketchy room. There were people repeatedly pulling up, knocking on the neighbor's door, then leaving about 15 minutes later. The room smelled strongly of drugs, and there was writing behind the TV that said “211 in progress.” The curtains were broken, the lamp and sheets were stained, and it was clear the room hadn't been cleaned properly. Definitely wouldn't recommend it.

The beds were comfortable, and I didn't see any signs of bed bugs, unlike what some reviews said. But the room was pretty dirty and badly needs a deep clean, especially the walls and doors. The towels were probably washed, but every one had stains. Maybe they don't use bleach.
