The beds weren’t comfortable, the hotel felt dated, and the pool was out of service. They charge $30 for washcloths, and the front desk staff couldn’t speak English. Spend a little more and stay somewhere else.

The changes are amazing, so much different from just a year ago. The staff create a really friendly atmosphere, and everyone at Martinis Lounge is wonderful. They all seem like family there!

I booked while the hotel was still run by Choice Hotels. The website photos looked great and showed an indoor pool, but there isn’t one. That felt misleading. There’s a bar on the second floor, and the noise carries through the whole hotel. The walls are dirty, the toilet won’t flush, and the shower curtain rod is broken. Check-in was awful. They couldn’t operate the “new” system and charged us twice for each room. By the end we’d been charged almost $1,000, and they kept saying they didn’t know how to use the system when we asked them to refund the extra charges. My room also wasn’t cleaned every day during my four-day stay. One day there was mold on our breakfast.

They’ve put on fresh paint, some new furniture, and fake wood floors, but these problems are still there: - The faucets are broken and leak. - The water pressure is so weak I could spit harder. - A coaxial cable runs from the door to the TV along the floor, making it a trip hazard. - Internet speeds make me miss the AOL dial-up days. - The TV doesn’t show what channel you’re on, so you have to search all of them to find what’s playing. - The maids slam doors while cleaning, so hope you don’t sleep during the day. - There’s an iron but no ironing board. - Breakfast is supposed to run 6-9, but it isn’t fully ready until after 6:45. By 8:30 they’re out of gravy and sometimes the day’s meat, and they don’t put out more. And with all that, they raised prices by $10 a night.
