The front desk team was kind and professional, and the rooms were quiet and seemed clean, though they’re worn. The beds were comfortable, but the sheets were worn too and not especially nice. Weekend breakfast was very good, and the location was a real plus. Still, upkeep seems to be getting shortchanged. Our curtains were damaged, the remote didn’t work, and the sink leaked. We reported the leak and remote, but neither got fixed while we were there. We also saw two baby cockroaches. The hot tub was said to be open, but it was cloudy and only half full. I’d stay only at a low price, and only if the occasional cockroach doesn’t bother you.

The woman at the front desk was rude and harsh, and seemed like she hated her job. I won’t stay at this Wyndham again. Inside, the property was a real letdown. The halls were filthy, the walls looked as though they hadn’t been cleaned in years, and the carpet needed a proper cleaning. Our room didn’t meet the usual Wyndham standard either: dirty walls, crumbs in the kitchen cupboards, and the kitchen wasn’t supplied with the usual cups or coffee items. There was just one towel and one washcloth in the bathroom. I’d asked for a crib when booking and was told it would be waiting in the room. At check-in they said they don’t provide cribs because they’re a fire hazard. I then asked for extra pillows to put by my daughter and for more towels. When I opened the door to go to dinner, I found them lying on the dirty floor.

The building is run down, and for $140 a night I’d go somewhere else. Our first room had a bathroom door hanging sideways from a broken hinge, a tub faucet that ran constantly, and no hot water. The front desk said the water issue was ongoing. There was hair stuck to the shower wall, and the top lock was coming off the frame. The door itself felt flimsy, which was worrying since the outside locks didn’t work and anyone could get into the building. A dog down the hall barked nonstop, though that wasn’t really the motel’s fault. The front desk attendant was kind and quickly tried to move us. In the second room, there was black mold on the bathroom ceiling and walls. The third room had the same problem, and still no hot water, but we were too tired from traveling to keep moving. The next morning, we found more hair that wasn’t ours on the bed, so the sheets may not have been changed. The place looks nothing like the Google description photos. Everything seemed torn, stained, or broken. Since the lobby was closed our whole one-night stay, check-in was confusing and we had to use the Quality Inn next door. The attendant tried his best, but the hotel needs serious repairs and deep cleaning.

The location was great, and the staff were friendly. The room itself needs more attention: the bathroom sink and mirror hadn’t been cleaned, the wall was damaged and unrepaired, and the heat lamp switch was broken. In the room, the curtains were torn and hung badly, and the TV had large dark patches on the screen. It could be a decent place once these things are fixed, but I expect more for $100 a night.

Our stay was a mess from the start. My family booked two nights directly through Baymont’s website, but when they arrived at 9 p.m., the desk said the hotel was overbooked and had no rooms. They cancelled the reservation, claiming it was through a third party, even though we had confirmation showing it was booked on their own site. The staff were rude and uncaring, and we were very upset with the service. For the second night, Brittany was at the desk. While checking us in, she stood in front of us adjusting her shirt and chatting casually with her coworker Alicia. It felt completely unprofessional. She also didn’t tell us the weekend breakfast hours. The room wasn’t any better. The tub was dirty, the towels had blood stains (see picture), and the sheets had stains and hair, as if they hadn’t been washed. There was no hair dryer, just an empty holder, and the room phone didn’t work. That evening we asked for extra towels, but the night-shift worker said they might be out because it was Friday night and the weekend. We also didn’t know when breakfast started since nobody had told us. I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels, and this was the worst experience I’ve had. I won’t be back.
