If all you need is a cheap, warm room and a bed, this may be enough. We got a jacuzzi room after insisting they give us a room, but it had only two towels because, staff said, “housekeeping is on vacation.” They told us, “just don’t use the jacuzzi.” We’d booked online, but on arrival they said there were no rooms. Before helping us, they gave a key to the person behind us, who had obviously stayed before, then questioned whether he’d paid. He said he’d given the clerk cash earlier in the day. It all felt sketchy, as did the area. Staff first blamed the holidays and housekeeping being on vacation for being full, then another staff member offered us the jacuzzi room.

I didn’t feel safe here at all. People screamed in the halls day and night, and some strange guy I think lives here banged on doors at random. There was open trash throughout the halls and lobby, doors that didn’t shut or lock right, and several that looked broken down. It seemed like drug addicts were living in the rooms. The rooms were disgusting too, with trash, hair balls, bugs of all sorts, and a huge amount of mold. I’ve traveled around the country and stayed in a lot of places, but this was by far the sketchiest and most disgusting. I booked through a third party and couldn’t cancel, which was my mistake. Please choose somewhere else for your own safety and well being. The extra few dollars are worth it.

According to the press announcement, Brooklyn Center Fire Chief Todd Berg described multiple problems found during inspections: fire doors that wouldn’t close fully, six or seven rooms without heat, “dried vomit and blood splatter… on the walls in the stairwell,” clothes scattered around the property, missing ceiling tiles, and no exterior doors that locked. During those visits, Berg said multiple unregistered guests were removed. He also reported that area police responded to 102 calls involving the property from Jan. 9 to Feb. 6, the highest four week total since at least 2015. Hennepin County Public Health Dept. temporarily closed the hotel this year because of health and safety violations.

They do have hot water, but I checked out after the first night and found another hotel down the road for the same price, where I could sleep at night. I was afraid to touch anything in this place. The sheets clearly hadn’t been washed in many months, and the rooms were disgustingly dirty. There was open drug use and fighting in the halls and parking lots. If you love your family, don’t bring them here under any circumstances. It isn’t safe. Don’t come unless you’re looking for drugs, seriously, you can buy them in most hallways.

My girlfriend was terrified by what was happening around us. People staying there gathered in the hallways to use drugs and engage in prostitution, and there was smoking and crack being sold. The noise went on all night, with screaming and banging on doors. The room next to mine had a resident who overdosed and died that night. Police were all over the place the next morning, but I couldn't find any at night. Trash was everywhere, and there were used syringes on the hallway floor. I reported it to Wyndham the next morning. It was unbelievable. This sounds insane, but it's all true. Do not rent here. It was the worst experience ever.
