Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Brooksville Suncoast Parkway

The staff were friendly and efficient, and breakfast was good, with a waffle maker, fresh fruit, and good coffee. The room was comfortable and everything seemed clean, but I barely slept because the air conditioner was so noisy. I couldn’t switch it off at the wall, and reaching underneath to unplug it seemed dodgy. Still reliably good otherwise.

It was quiet, and the curtains kept the room dark for sleeping in. The hotel was very clean, and breakfast was so good it was hard not to overeat. The only odd thing was the number of people who parked like animals. Everything else was great.

The rooms were nice and most of the staff were great, but we won’t be back to Fairfield Marriott. Checkout was at 10, and we returned our key cards 10 minutes before that because an appointment in Brooksville had been pushed back through no fault of ours. We were told my wife and our three daughters could wait in the lobby, including our 8-month-old. We thought we were helping by cleaning the room and piling the sheets on the bed. But we weren’t going to sit in the lobby for two hours while they did nothing. We could at least have kept the cards, changed the girls into bathing suits, and gone swimming or something. There are better hotels nearby.

There’s a full hot breakfast and the hotel is right on a bike trail. The rooms are large, the staff are friendly, and it’s clean. The fitness room is very nice, and the pool is cute, though it wasn’t very warm in early March.
