Days Inn by Wyndham Buckeye

The bathroom plumbing needs replacing. The shower fixtures were loose and coming out of the wall, the floor was in bad shape, and the toilet seemed loose on its mounting bolts. The bedding looked clean, though I suspect the top bedspread and blanket hadn’t been washed recently. The floor was filthy enough to turn my white socks black after I walked around in them once I’d taken my shoes off. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless you’re desperate.

I was ready to leave in the middle of the night, but walking to the truck felt less safe than staying in the room. I didn’t even shower because I was afraid I’d catch something. We booked at the last minute through booking .com for $150 and figured it couldn’t be that bad. It was the grossest place I’ve ever been. It borders a truck stop, and there were disgusting activities in the neighboring rooms at 2am and 3am. Do not stay here.

The road noise was awful, and the rooms felt dingy and weren’t well stocked. There were four of us in two queen beds, but we only got two towels. Breakfast was just toast, cereal, coffee, and yogurt. This old place is next to a truck stop and gets a lot of truckers. DON’T STAY HERE!!!

I was really disappointed. I was there with my grandsons for a night, and after more than a year apart, I’d hoped we could enjoy some good time together. The TV remote wouldn’t work. I appreciated that the desk associate came up and brought another one, but after she changed a couple of channels and left, we still couldn’t change anything. I asked her twice to come back, but she didn’t show. When I went to the front desk to ask for a different room, she said that wasn’t enough reason. She eventually returned and found out maintenance would need to look at the TV. It was very frustrating. This was my second stay, but I’ll look elsewhere next time. I’d have left if I hadn’t prepaid for the week.
