My Place Hotel Phoenix West Buckeye AZ

Kai, Lauren, Tucker, and the cleaning staff really make this place. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable, though there's sometimes an odd smell. The stovetops also take forever to heat up.

UPDATED, replying to the Owner: Please say plainly that it's easier for you not to handle sanitizing dishware. If you sanitize the bathrooms, sheets, and towels after each guest, then dishware should get the same treatment, so that explanation doesn't make sense. And I won't call pre-packaged snacks "breakfast." To me, that means food made to order with real ingredients and nutrients. We stayed a week for work. The hotel met my cleanliness standards, and the facility smelled fine. Everything in the room worked, but the internet reset each night, so we had to reconnect our devices every day. We cooked in the kitchenette since there was no complimentary breakfast. Unlike many hotels with kitchenettes, this chain provides no pans, dishes, or cutlery. The common items are available to buy in the lobby instead. There's no pool, which limits ways to entertain children in this very hot part of AZ. The location is convenient, with shops, grocery stores, restaurants, and medical services within walking distance. It's also near the highways and about 30 min from Phoenix.

Plenty of places to eat out nearby, so explore the area. I was disappointed there was no breakfast or pool, but skipping those seems to let the hotel focus on the basics and keep prices reasonable. The rooms are quiet, clean, and set up decently, with a full-size refrigerator, ice maker, and kitchenette. They don't provide cookware, dishes, or utensils; if you ask the front desk, they can give you basic paper and plastic items. This place rescued our vacation after the disaster that was Days Inn, and I'll stay here again on my next trip to AZ. For the rooms, I'd love to see a dimmer and bulbs that can dim at the main door switch. It would also help to have something on the door to block light and sound coming through the gap underneath.

I felt safe and comfortable, and the staff were great. The room was really big and amazing, with a lovely bathroom, and it was clean. The beds were great too. I wish this hotel was everywhere!
