The manager is sweet as pie, and I’d stay again just because of her. The bathroom is newer and upgraded, with plenty of hot water and good pressure. The place isn’t fancy and doesn’t offer many extras, so don’t expect things like a hair dryer. The price reflects that. The rooms are decent, clean and comfortable, though a bit outdated.

We stayed Friday and Saturday (10/7/16 and 10/8/16) with our 2 Chihuahuas. The staff were VERY accommodating, and the pet room was amazingly clean with no smell from past pets. The rooms were super clean too. It was a pleasant, comfortable place for our trip and my first visit to Maine, even without the frills. Thanks for making things smooth for my Husband and me. I’d definitely stay again!

We ended up with extra people in our group and made a last minute reservation. The owner/manager went out of their way to find us a room with enough beds, adjusted the rate generously and did everything they could to accommodate us. I believe in karma, and sometimes life tests your faith. People like the owner/manager here restore it. I’ll stay here whenever I’m in the area, and I recommend it. Rock on dude your amazing! 🤘💜🤙

The manager was very sweet and helpful, going out of his way to take care of what we needed. We also got to see fireworks from the hotel, shot off at the fort nearby for Halloween. The motel is clean, and our newly remodeled room was in very good shape, with nice bathroom tile and a mini fridge with a big freezer. It’s in a nice location with a good view. I’ll definitely stay here again if I’m ever in Maine.

For 3 nights we paid 250, so it was much cheaper than the other places we looked at, where that could be the cost of one night. Portland, Bar Harbor and the other coastal towns were either very expensive or unavailable. The owner, I’m assuming, was decent to deal with and nice when we arrived. We had no issue with him, though others said they did. Still, the room was gross. It smelled like mold and mildew, there was no cable because they apparently don’t have enough boxes for every room, and the mattresses were literally on the floor with no frames. There were hairs from previous guests on the blankets and sheets, pubes still on the bathroom floor, and trash, boxes and lamps weren’t picked up. If you stay here on a budget, bring your own bedding. We did, luckily, since blankets and pillows are a must on a road trip. Across the street is a water treatment plant, great view! I didn’t trust the people cleaning the rooms. They apparently needed to check whether someone was in a room, but instead of knocking, they just tried to open the door. My boyfriend, a GUEST, had to tell her someone was inside. They seem to leave blankets and other things outside for days at a time. A little remodeling and proper cleaning could go a long way. This place just sucks.
