A friend of mine has lived at Hibernia Tower for about seven years and says things were much better at the beginning. From my own visits over the years, including spending the night sometimes, I'd say it's alright, just alright. The building is older and the units feel dated. I think there may have been a remodel not too long ago. When I once asked about getting a place there, the staff were very helpful. I do love the location.

I had a rental on record and was only asking to wait inside for about an hour before check-in. The front desk security guard told me the lobby was closed to the public, then said I would have to stand outside because she didn't know where else I could go. I was stunned. I’d never been told I couldn’t sit in the lobby of a place I was staying. I was here for five days while my apartment floors were being replaced. The building looked nice, and I’d expected to be comfortable, but the guard’s attitude spoiled the stay before it began. She’s the first person guests see, and she spoke like she didn’t want to be at work. I won’t recommend this place.

The location is good, and the place could work if you keep expectations low. Still, the building looks poorly cared for and feels old and worn out. It badly needs a refresh. The office staff didn’t seem very interested in showing us around, and there are better choices nearby.

The apartment was furnished, which was the best part of my three-month stay at Hibernia Tower through Corporate Housing. At $150 a night, though, it felt like a complete ripoff. The building outside the apartment was dirty and poorly maintained. The elevators were usually out, and the stairwells had garbage and needles lying around. When Hurricane Ida hit, staff had left the building unprepared. After the power went out, anyone who left couldn’t get back in. The parking garage stayed locked for days, so cars couldn’t get in or out. Tenants were left to manage on their own, with no staff onsite to help for more than a week.
