We’d never been to NOLA before and were pleasantly surprised by Site 61. We loved it. It’s lovely and clean, and the free breakfast bar was a real help when we were trying to catch a bus for our conference. Buses make it easy to get around, especially to Tulane Uni or to connect elsewhere. The staff were amazing. Jasmine at reception was so kind and understanding. The place is quiet, well cared for, and has everything you need with a kind staff and management. Check-in and check-out were super easy. We also liked the lobby whiteboard with visitor suggestions, including things to do that weekend and ways to support local businesses. It felt like home, or the kind of hostel you want to return to after a long day. We slept really well and miss Site 61. We’ll definitely come back!

The price was wonderful, and I loved the space and how well the host communicated. I’d recommend it and would stay again. The hostel was beautiful, cozy, and homey, and I felt safe there the whole time as a solo traveler. Everything in the hostel and my room was clean and inviting. It was impressively quiet, too. For anyone wondering, the area outside has more of an industrial than residential feel. If I’d had my littles with me, I might have wanted somewhere more walkable for them, but it was fine for me. What a great business to have in the area!

We didn’t read the Air BnB details carefully and hadn’t realized it was a hostel with shared common spaces, except for the bedroom. Even so, it was a beautiful home and so accommodating. It’s a short drive from lots of places around Tulane and the French Quarter. We’d love to book again :)

Clean rooms, an excellent location, and an affordable price. This place was perfect, and I’d definitely recommend staying here when visiting New Orleans!

The rooms were cozy and not overcrowded. I had a room to myself, so it felt private. There weren’t enough bathrooms if the place had more guests, though. I only saw a few. It’s excellent value for money, and while it’s far from the French quarter, transit makes it accessible. It’s also conveniently close to the museum of art and city Park. If anything goes wrong, service is basically nonexistent, which makes me nervous. They didn’t answer my email or pick up the phone.
