The room was disgusting. It smelled of old cigarettes and cheap cleaning products, the carpet was stained and dirty, and the sleeper sofa and wooden furniture were chewed up. Several outlets didn’t work, and the door looked like someone had tried to break in. The walls were paper thin, and the beds were hard and uncomfortable. I would’ve left to find another room if I could have.

We got in earlier than expected after traveling super early and were exhausted, but the staff were patient and helpful while they did their best to get us into a room as soon as possible. They really go above and beyond. The hotel is great and in a convenient location.

The whole stay was stressful and felt unsafe, and the problems were handled with very little urgency. We waited more than 20 minutes to be acknowledged at check-in. That evening, my mother’s key card failed for the second night in a row, and we spent over two hours going up and down to ask for updates while staff tried to get her into her room. Her belongings and medication were locked inside, and we kept being told there was no maintenance staff available. My own key stopped working too, so I needed new cards. Eventually someone unlocked my mother’s door, left it propped open and unattended with her things inside, then went off to find us. The next morning, she got locked inside when the door latch stuck. She had to work the lock while I pushed from outside to get it open. The door looked as if someone had tried to force it with a crowbar before. We were told my mother would get a full refund for her two-night stay and I’d get 30% back. Since we booked through Expedia, the hotel said we had to contact them for the refund and they would approve it. Five days later, we still hadn’t received even an apology email. Room access problems, especially when medication is locked inside, should be treated as emergencies. This hotel fell short on basic service, safety, and professionalism.

The rooms are okay, nothing special. Our first one smelled like cat pee under carpet freshener, so we asked to move. The room on the fourth floor smelled better, but still wasn’t great, and the hallways reeked of the same stuff. If you have respiratory issues, I’d avoid this place. We’ve stayed here several times because it’s close to our son’s house, but each time the carpet freshener smell has gotten stronger. It seems to be covering other odors. We won’t stay here again.
