Buffalo Lodge

The rooms are cleaned thoroughly, and I felt right at home. There was one exception, a fingernail on the floor. I’ll definitely stop here again next time I travel to see my girlfriend.

I drove three hours for a funeral and ended up leaving to find somewhere else to stay. At check-in, I waited 15 minutes for someone to come to the desk. In the first room, half the electricity didn’t work, so the refrigerator, microwave, and portable AC on a table had no power. I went back to the desk and waited again. They said the hotel was full and offered a refund. After I explained why I was in town, the staff member finally offered a different room. The second room had bugs, and the AC vent was shredded and previously patched with duct tape. When I asked for tape, since it seemed no one was going to fix it or call someone to do so, I was given packing tape. I tried that, then went out and bought duct tape myself. When I got back, my daughter-in-law and baby grandson were sweating buckets because the AC wasn’t cooling. I returned to the desk and, again, was offered a refund, so I went to find another place. When they refunded me, I was told the remaining refund had been booked through Expedia and I’d have to contact them. I never got an apology.

The hotel was cute and quaint, and the clean room and little breakfast bar were just what we needed in Buffalo. I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

They kept my deposit even though we were only in the room long enough to sleep. The trash can they provide is tiny, maybe two gallons, and they’re claiming we damaged the property when I know we didn’t. They won’t show me proof. I’m contacting the BBB and the Attorney General’s office. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with anything I’ve paid for. It feels like they stole from me. The pool pump was broken, so my kids couldn’t even swim, and that was the only reason we stayed. I’m guessing the manager kept my $100 and claimed it took two days to clean the room, when it would’ve taken me five minutes. I suspect she’s why the place has gone downhill and nothing gets fixed. Absolute trash.
