For the price, the stay was acceptable, and the location along I-90 works as a rough halfway point between Chicago and Seattle. Check out was easy, and if you’ll arrive after about 7-8 p.m., call ahead. I’m not sure exactly when the desk closes, but they’ll arrange a way for you to get your key. I didn’t talk to anyone this time because I arrived late and left early, though service was great on past stays. The room was good and seemed thoroughly cleaned, and the bed was clean too. The bathroom could’ve been better: it felt almost untouched, and the shower was fairly dirty. Still usable, but not great.

I was there last week, and room 117 is an ideal king guestroom. You walk in and think, “Oh, this is a nice room, it’s got everything you need!” A good place for an overnight stop off the highway or a visit for rodeo. The new owner is turning it into a boutique roadside spot that will have coffee and a healthy breakfast. With the Dash In Diner next door, Indian Campground behind the hotel, and the pool, it makes a nice roadside basecamp in the best town in Wyoming!

A clean bed, easy check-in, and a quiet room. It’s a solid place to stop near the Cloud Peak Skyway Scenic Byway. Buffalo is a really cool town in a beautiful setting, and the stay was just what you’d expect.

The managers left the day after I checked in, and after that they were never on site. Breakfast had been advertised, but there was never anything available. It was frustrating.
