Quality Inn Buffalo

The room had a musty smell, and the hotel is awful. During the whole week I was here for work, they never freshened the room or even picked up the trash. I wouldn’t choose to stay here myself. The other hotel up the hill is much nicer.

The worst part was how rude the front desk representative was to me and my coworker. We had extended our stay, but he didn’t confirm it before waking us and telling us to leave. He argued that we hadn’t extended until we went to the desk and showed our confirmation, then said we shouldn’t have booked through a hotel app. Service was the reason for my low rating. My room was never cleaned during the full seven days, and when I asked, I was told they don’t accommodate people who work night shifts. The TVs barely worked half the time. The room looked decent, but smelled overwhelmingly of mold or mildew, and the hotel itself is extremely dated.

We’ve stayed here many times before and it had always been clean, but this visit was so disappointing that we probably won’t come back when we visit family. The first and third floor hallways both reeked of body odor. My bath towel smelled strongly of it too, so I had to dry off with a hand towel. The coffee pot was in the bathroom, and the room smelled like urine. My pillow smelled like a sweaty 600 lb man, and I could smell it even while trying to sleep. Breakfast was bad enough that we threw it all out and went into town. The coffee tasted like cigarette ashes, the waffle was bland, the orange juice tasted old, and the sausage seemed either boiled or left out for three days. The ham in the omelet was definitely expired. It made for a lousy little Christmas visit with my kid’s grandfather.

The key worked the first time, then stopped working completely. I’ve made several trips to the front desk and the problem still isn’t fixed. The employees are hard for me to understand, and they have to come open my room door each time. Work paid for the rooms in advance, or I’d already have switched hotels. Definitely don’t recommend.
